Will Jos Butler s Injury Affect Rajastan Royals chance against Delhi Capitals in IPL 23

Rajasthan Royals will go head-to-head with Delhi Capitals in the first match of March 8 in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the second match of the day, arch-rivals MI and CSK will face each other. The Rajasthan Royals, led by Sanju Samson, began their IPL season with a win over Sunrisers Hyderabad, but suffered a defeat in their second match against Punjab Kings. In contrast, the Delhi Capitals have suffered two straight losses this season and are yet to score any points.

The Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals have faced each other 26 times in the IPL, and both teams have won an equal number of matches, with 13 games each. Both teams will be looking to gain an advantage over the other by winning this game.

In match number 11 of the Indian Premier League 2023 season, the Rajasthan Royals will take on the Delhi Capitals at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. The Sanju Samson-led RR head into the home game after losing to Punjab Kings by a thrilling margin of five runs at the same venue. Despite the loss, Sanju Samson, Dhruv Jurel, and Shimron Hetmyer proved their worth with the bat.

The Royals' match-winner, Jos Buttler, was injured in the last game against Punjab Kings. His finger injury will likely keep him out of this encounter against Delhi Capitals. Former English captain Joe Root may take his place in the eleven.

The Rajasthan Royals will likely have the upper hand over the Delhi Capitals as they have plenty of batting options in their arsenal. Their new players like Dhruv Jurel have shown a lot of promise in recent games. However, as Jos Butler will be absent from this encounter, the Royals will have to be cautious against the Delhi Capitals.

On the other hand, the Delhi Capitals are struggling to find the right combination under the leadership of new captain David Warner. Therefore, there are high chances of the Pink Army winning this encounter.

Rajastan Royals Probable XI :  Yashasvi Jaiswal, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson (c/wk), Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Jason Holder, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Sen

Delhi Capitals Probable XI :David Warner (c), Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Rilee Russouw, Phil Salt (wk), Yash Dhull, Axar Patel, Lalit Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Chetan Sakariya, Khaleel Ahmed
