"Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are set to face each other in Match No.17 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The match is scheduled for Wednesday, 12th April at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The Super Kings, captained by MS Dhoni, began their campaign with a five-wicket loss to defending champions Gujarat Titans. However, two consecutive victories have put their campaign back on track. They go into the game after a seven-wicket win over the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.
Ajinkya Rahane made his debut for CSK and scored a half-century off just 19 balls, the fastest in this year's IPL. Rahane's fifty was also the joint second-fastest by a CSK batter in the history of the T20 league. On the back of his knock, the four-time IPL champions chased down the target of 158 with 11 balls to spare.
However, Ravindra Jadeja was named Player of the Match for his spell of 4-0-20-3, which included the wickets of Ishan Kishan, Cameron Green and Tilak Varma.
The Super Kings are currently facing two injury concerns. Ben Stokes missed the previous game due to a toe injury, and it remains to be seen if he will be fit for the upcoming clash. Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar sustained a hamstring injury in the last game and will undergo scans to determine the extent of his injury."

The Royals" in a tournament. The team is led by Sanju Samson, and their performance has been reasonable so far. They have the best net run rate of +2.067 among all the 10 teams participating in the tournament.
The Royals started their campaign with a significant victory of 72 runs over Sunrisers Hyderabad, captained by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. However, they lost their next match to Punjab Kings, led by Shikhar Dhawan, by a mere five runs. Nonetheless, they got back to their winning ways and defeated Delhi Capitals, led by David Warner, by a big margin of 57 runs. In this match, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler displayed good form and helped The Royals set a challenging target of 200 for their opponents.
